もういちど話しましょう!

コメントがたくさんありますか?友だちをつくりましたか?コメントが少ない人は、どうしてコメントが少ないと思いますか。友だちがいない人は、どうして友だちがいないと思いますか。

(1) Why can't you receive many comments? Why can't you make friends?
(2) How can you solve the issues?
(3) Find people who receive many comments. What do they do?

Make a group and discuss (1), (2) and (3). Then, post your answers by making comment here.

1) Your blog is boring and/or too difficult to read. You don't comment back on other people's blogs. You don't participate much in class, so people don't know you very well and may not feel comfortable commenting on your blog.

2) Try making your blog more interesting. Add pictures, tell stories... maybe talk about a popular issue and/or ask for other people's opinions.

3) Flash people and/or threaten them. Just kidding.

Make jokes, ask questions, post pictures (this makes it easy to comment even if the text is difficult to read -- and also helps people under stand the text). Introduce new words in English and provide translations, especially if you aren't sure about the correct wording.

(1) we don't receive many comments probably because we don't write very long posts, there's no pictures to comment about, and they are generally pretty simple or not interesting to others.
(2)upload photos related to the topic we wrote about (if possible). Comment to other people asking questions so that they have to respond (hopefully). Write about more interesting topics.
(3) No one in our section at Knox gets a lot of comments. The most we found from us or Columbia was Kristin's 6 comments on her Spring Break blog. She had a few pictures of her rabbits and eggs, which probably caught peoples attention. That seems like a lot of work to have to do for each week just to get comments though.

1)You don't keep up with posts. Your posts are too long and your blog is boring. You use too much kanji and often incorrectly! Your blog is not aesthetically pleasing. You do not have an icon as cool as Lauren-sans :-)

2)Try to tell an interesting story instead of random simple sentences. Share interesting facts about yourself. Make the blog reader friendly.

3)Insert eye catching, but appropriate, photos. Share interesting facts about Japan or Japanese Culture. Post links to videos. Get an icon!

1. Your blog is to long and there is no english. There are no pictures or anything else to keep you interested.

2. Put up pictures or a nice background. Also don't make the blog to long or complicated. Maybe add some icons.

3. Their blog is interesting with lots of icons or pictures. They also have neat backgrounds and english translations for complicated words or words their not sure they spelled right.

1)Your blog is too hard. There is too much Japanese and kanji. There are no pictures to make it more interesting.

2)Post more pictures, write in simpler form, have English translations for harder words.

3)They write about things people can understand and relate to. They have lots of pictures to make it pretty! They have translations for harder words. They write more in English to explain what they said in Japanese.

1)We don't receive many comments because, our blogs aren't attractive enough, don't use enough words in parentheses, not enough pictures/movies.

2)Put pictures/movies in. Comment on other student's blogs and ask questions that they would want to reply to. Revamp your blog.

3)Just put pictures in and make interesting posts.

1. Incorrectly used grammar points, lack of pictures/videos, and uninteresting content are probably the main reasons for not receiving comments.

2. You could check other blogs that are successful and compare them to your own, choose more interesting content so you feel more inclined to put effort into the posts you do make, or talk to people in class who do have successful blogs.

3. Successful blogs have a lot of pictures. More effort is put into the design of the post and is eye catching. Also, successful blogs are usually about something that almost any person can appreciate.
